Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc. (ADS), the world's largest manufacturer of high-density polyethylene pipe, announced in July 2007 that it would open a $12 million, 68,000-square-foot facility in Gloucester County, New Jersey. Based in Ohio, this facility will be ADS’ largest U.S. manufacturing plant and will help meet the growing demand for HDPE products in highway construction projects.

ADS chose a location in Gloucester County for its strategic geographic location and access to a skilled labor market. The new plant will bring 100 new jobs to the area and will enable ADS to better serve its customers in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and Washington, D.C. ADS also expects to expand the Logan facility based on the demand for its products.

ADS began production at the new facility, in the Pureland Industrial Complex on Center Square Road in Logan, on July 9. The plant produces HDPE pipe for use in the development of local and federal highway projects and will serve construction projects in underground drainage applications. The first public open house for the new manufacturing facility is scheduled for September 18, 2007.
